It runs on 230V power — most homes already have a circuit available (the kind that runs a dryer or electric range), so it's usually just a matter of confirming you have one near the install site. You control the system from the wireless remote, the MRCOOL app, or Alexa and Google Assistant, and the remote's Follow Me sensor reads the temperature wherever you're actually sitting rather than just the wall-mounted unit.
